Why are you interested to know this?

If you say stock out of the box with 65 mm tires (23T/46T/18T internal pulleys and 16T/19T pinions and 49T/45T spurs), by calculation, then the achievable theoretical top speed of the car assuming that your engine is able to pick up to 35000 rpm in 2nd gear is 90.53 km/hr or 56.25 miles/hr.

My Mugen say say stock out of the box with 65 mm tires (24T/16T/19T internal pulleys and 16T/20T pinions and 47T/42T spurs), by calculation, then the achievable theoretical top speed of the car knowing that my engine is able to pick up to 37000 rpm in 2nd gear is 90.69 km/hr or 56.35 miles/hr.

Hahahahaaaaaaa ...

Sorry dude. Wrong math. It's 85.45 km/hr or 56.1 miles/hr assuming 37,000 rpm and with 65 mm tires.

By the way, it's 19T/48T/19T internal pulleys...

The NTC3 is even faster!!, with the engine at 37k same tire size and final drive of 4.807, it should theoritically reach a top speed of 58.56mph or 93kmh. So what does this mean?? Nothing!! unless you want to challenge and say that my car is faster than yours

Yes, you're right as always... Like what I mentioned earlier in my reply post, why the original poster (kenchoco) needed to know how fast the car would be out of the box...

Well, at least you got the figures right ! BTW, I was using 34,000 rpm as my base calculations versus your 37,000...

it would be 93kmh to the hobby shop coz I would have probably crashed my car before even reaching that speed.

Hey D we went 59.5 on radar (NS 3 port standard plug RTU) using 61mm tires geared 19/47 in second with the MTX3 at the last race of the year, ran outa track. And we were still gaining. Revs baby
Oh yea certified PD laser radar

D goes off to calculate LOL

By the way I went 62 on radar at the great lakes challenge in 2001 with the MTX2 using that gearing, tire size and an RTU 3 port MT. Impacts were running 63 tops everyone else was in the 55's
Standard radar

Ummm, are you sure that gearing is right? You mean 19/43...

<comes running back with the calculator...>

Holy shit !! If the gearing is right, that's about close to 48,000 rpm !! <jaw drops>

<picks jaw back>
Is that using standard or ceramic bearings? I'm told that the bearings in the engine are only limited to spin at around 40,000 rpm or so...

BTW, my Serpent TC:S have always done at least 70mph, the first one I had did 70 with the side exhaust nova... Of course, I normally get this question in the bar, where all fish tend to grow and all cars tend to go faster....

D, I think you have to teach me some gearing math ABC, you are incredible with numbers....
