Everything that we have been told from Japan is that the 07 parts will only be offered as a conversion kit, not a complete kit. But that could change, availability of the conversion kits should be very soon.

Danny,

I would buy an 05 car, the 07 update is simply a refinement... Nothing revolationary about the changes, just little changes to make things a little more durable and adjustable.

Default Evolva Setup

Hi

Can anyone tell me if the Evolva has front and rear roll centers? If it does, where is it and how do you change it?

Acid,

The alum blocks in the rear of the car come in various flavors, there are 2 types from Kyosho 7-2 and 7-3.5... Delta makes some 9.5-2's.

The front roll center cannot be adjusted on the lower pin, but can be modified by changing the upper hangar. Kyosho has 2 upper hangar 03 and 05, so does empire racing (more agressive than the kyosho's).

You can also change the front by adding or removing shims.

A couple of electrical questions:

-Is anyone using a lipo receiver pack, if not why?

-What are people using for switches, or plugs, or what ever is the best way to unhook the battery? I have been plugging the battery in and out of the receiver but it always bothers me that these plugs are not made to be used in that way, (they wear out).

Thanks,
Ted

Hey Ted,

I don't use lipo's because my car is already way under weight. 2 cells lipo cells of similar capacity when stacked are thicker than the AA's, so you will have to raise the tank, I didn't like that idea.

I just plug it in every time with the factory connectors. I have a little extension that goes into the RX, the female end of the extension is glued to my transponder braket so it is easy to unplug it everytime. Switches are okay too, but they will fail without warning. Over a long period of time with my method you will have to replace the connector due to wear, but you can usually see it coming.
