How or where did you get this figure from? How long do tires last?
The tires can be found at the following;

brucknerhobbies.com Jaco 1.8th scale tires 29.99 per set of four
brooklynhobbies.com ForFaster Tires 29.99 ' '
twistertires.com Twister Tires 29.99 " '

Tire wear depends on surface conditions, what you true them down too, etc...

Ace Hobbies sell them. They also sell the Belts from Empire Racing which are even better than the stock belts.

I'm pleased Kyosho chose to make only subtle changes to it. I guess they thought why change something that works good? As far as I reckon its only a few things:

-pulleys, differnet internal ratio, higher or lower?
-new front bulkhead and arms- for wheelbase and 8 stage belt tension adjustment
-new tank lid- (I never knew there was anything wrong with it)
-new longer break lever.

Thats makes it really not much worth to buy a whole new kit, but might make for a few worthy extra hop ups in the future.
I hope this is the case. Although, I've noticed that the front upper & lower Arms look different than the Evolva 2003 in regards to the cross bracing in between the arms. Hope that makes sense.
I wonder if they have changed the geometry of the front arms...

Default Belts

Contact Speedline - Mike Queller. I'm sure he has Bando - Urethane Kevlar Side and Rear belts for the Evolva. Ask him what type of front belts he has in stock.

Hello Mr Browne,

I was wondering if you know when or if Bando will make the front belt for the Evolva?

Thanks

Default Belts

That's the jackpot question. Bando Japan has informed us they do not have a mold for the 207 tooth belt (Bando US said they did have a mold and they made the UK belts). So, no Bando U/K front belt. Unfortunate but true. The other issue is the 14 week lead time, from Japan, for the Rear and Side belts. We (Empire) are testing other UK belts - the first two tests were, shall we say, sad. We're not giving up. As the Evolva grows in popularity the need for durable belts will increase. The 2005 will be an improvement, but, we feel, the eccentric solution will help in keeping the belts tight (stop breaking) - but - that won't stop the stripping problem (caused by hard contact or a bumpy track).

The new belts from Delta seem to work fine. Call Dave Campbell at Delta. His numbers can be found on his website at http://www.deltainc-usa.com/

Has anybody run the 2005 yet or used any of the new parts?

Sure.

If you break it you bought it.

One tank of fuel will cost you a set of tires.
