First you have to upgrade your 03 to an 05 and then get the 07 converstion kit. This attachment has the parts you need to upgrade to an 05. Hope this helps.

The Chassis on the 03, 05 and 07 are the same, the chasis on the new M3 is different.

From what I understand it is a complete redesign of the car, within the same geometry. Which gives me confidence to run my TE 2007 for at least another year. This is the WC car all team Kyosho drivers used in Cordoba anyway, except for the Japenese designer. Don't worry about just having the latest model. Let the M3 proof itself first.

Default Battery plate

Hi Guys

A little help with the battery plate cover at bottom of chassis for the 2005/2007 Evolva.

Whenever I screw in the battery plate, the plastic holes that are part of the plate split. I try to screw it in less but then the screws are too loose

Any ideas on how to sort out this problem?

Does anyone kno0w if there is an upgrade for this like with the Serpent where you can get a carbon fibre battery plate upgrade?

Thanks
Acid

I'm not exactly sure what is different but I know that its a little narrower in the back and they added a carbon fiber plate in the front under the front belt and the pattery plate is carbon fiber and I believe it take a different type of battery, You can see pic if you go back to post #1566.

The only time I have that problem is when the hole are broken and they split like yours, put a brand new battery plate on and you shouldnt have that problem, dont over tighten the screws thats how the plastic breaks and the holes split.

Thanks. I did that. I put in a new battery plate.

When i tighten it, then the plastic around the screws split.

If I unscrew it a little, then the late is too loose

Does anyone make an upgrade for this?

Regards

The only way they ever broke on me was when I over tightened the screws.

Acid - we played with carbon fiber plates two seasons ago and had some issues with battery pack failure that I felt were related to excessive vibration being transmitted by the harder material, I went back to the plastic one and problems went almost completely away. If you're having screw loosening issues use a product like vibra-tite on the screws - also I change to Allen head screws for a better "feel" on the torque.
