So I bent the pins a little bit to get smooth movement. Now it seems OK.

Funny you should mention this. I wrote to Shepherd today about the exact problem, and got a response back today saying no known issue.

The holes in the plate and shoes are wide enough, they just don't align, and I am reluctant to bend the pins. I will test it as is first, maybe the heat and rpm will free it up alittle more. Did you try your clutch as is?

I didn't drive the car yet? We have winter and 30cm of snow! I will hit the track end of March for the first time if the weather conditions will allow it.

I gently bent one pin and everything is moving smooth now!

Cheers

Hello guys,
first of all i would like to wish you a very happy new year.
Now the holidays are done and i found some time to charge my batteries, hopefully !!!
Now some informations for for you guys out there.
First i would like to solve the problem with the clutch. I just checked a bigger amount of clutch shoes, stell discs and flywheels.
It fits tight, but thats how i like to have it. If you assemble the clutch and run it for a few laps it will be ok. So just "run it in" and it will be OK.
So please check this once more and let us know.
Thats it for the moment.

Alex

The shocks are by far the best I have ever built. I think it is the car's best feature. Absolutely zero air, perfect rebound - BRILLANT SHEPHERD!

Also, a photo of the brake pads. I did not need to sand them down, they went on without binding.
The shocks kind of look like the ones on the 733.

Not even close. Anyone that had an old Picco car knows about these shocks, though they have been improved on a bit. Not like anything else on the market.
