Although i don't live in the states getting a new distributer would be a great move by TM and as said earlier have a west, central and east coast set up so parts would become very easy to get and cheaper as it would create healthy competition in the market place. I just hope you have a LOT of money as i have heard here in Australia when we changed distributer he needed to buy over AUD$400 000 worth of stock to win the contract.(This is just what i've been told). HEI were the old distributers now we use Zauber imports and there's been no real issues.

Good luck i hope it works out for you

ouch $260,000 USD in this struggling economy?

gonna be tough

that seems high though, unless you consider kits, parts alone $60k is already alot of parts.

I guess its different for distributors.

drillbit please tell me you're on the east coast

wasnt raceday hobbies a distributor too? or were they only a dealer? i know TM basically kicked them in the balls and dropped their distribution a few years back.

I know that all of the TM drivers would love to see more parts in the US. With the on-road season right around the corner and a new car on the horizon it would help to acquire new drivers and keep the old ones running.

Good Luck with Team Magic. There are many reasons why they have gone through 4 or 5 distributors in the past 4 years. I would seriously talk to some of those distributors before venturing into business with them.

Well I dont have a store. But I am considering starting one if I decide to go through with this team magic deal. I still need to do some more research.

Who is Barry Baker?

Also talk to Dennis Richey from Phenis Dist. I hope that TM will get the hint that they are ruining themselves here in the states. I would love to see TM parts in every shop here instead of people saying "why are you running that car? It looks really good but I heard that they screw everyone over." I am happy with their product line but the way they do business is something else.
I don't want to scare you out of selling TM stuff, lord knows that we need support here, but make sure that you cover your bases.
