How to remove pinions from clutchbell??
 
Trying to get the pinions off the kyosho clutchbell to put on a Sirio power clutch but cant get them off. Any tips??

1. You need special tool to open the pinion gear from clutchbell. I'm sure Kyosho or Sirio has the proper tool to perform the task professionally.

2. cheap way, no tools but troublesome and dangerous. You can heat the pinion gear with a gas lighter, burn it for 3 minutes and quickly find a plier and rags to twist the pinion gear out. Good luck with that :D

For 1/8th scale it is item no. VZW040 "2 speed clutch tool" Pinion removal tool is what you need. Do not try to use anything other than this or you may damage the pinions and the orig bell. Since you are referring to the Sirio Power clutch, you are probably may need the 1/10th scale tool. Check online at kyoshoamerica.com, brooklynhobbies.com... Good luck.

without proper tool?
i'll rather get new pinions for the new clutch bell.
tried last time and ended up damaging the clutch bell. :mad:

atomic rc sells the universal pinion tool to remove any pinion from any clutch bell for onroad 1/10 and 1/8th it took me a while to find the right tool now with this one no need to worry.

Plus it comes with other useful items such as the flywheel wrench and the end gap adjustment tool.
