Default Radio System for 8 scale On Road ???

Hey Bro's I need some help I sold my older radio system and now I am in need of a new one I am late at going to 2.4 systems so I need some feedbacks on which radio systems are a better choice for 1/8 scale On Road ? do you need all the bells and whistles ? the radio systems am looking at are the 3PK 2.4 , Ko Propo Heilo 2.4 and or the new DX3R 2.4. any help will be useful.

Thanks

Hey Clinton there are plenty good 2.4 system out there it comes down to what feels good to you when holding the radio- weight, comfortability, etc.
Good luck on your decision..

Ivan I hear you bro , I was also thinking of the M11 2.4 but some racers say it gets heavy doing long races and also its not ez to understand the sets ups and programs.

BigC,

I have the Helios and like it alot. If you ever race oval; the Helios doesn't have the 'oh shit' button for steering travel override like the 3PK does. I've considered switching to the DX3R because of how light it is. During a long main, it would be awesome; however, I like using ABS braking and the DX3R doesn't have that feature. So, for the time being, I'm sticking with my Helios.

Good luck in your selection.

James

James, Thanks Bro for the info again I am late on getting in on the 2.4 systems and I have heard its very nice to have the ABS breaking so maybe I will seek a system with it but the DXR3's are lite and look nice also heard they are the fastest 2.4 systems out there any truth to this ? also on 8 scale On Road so you use your ABS alot ?

Again thanks James for the info.

Clinton,

Around April or May, Airtronics will have the new M11X available. This model will be a dedicated 2.4Ghz radio... It will also be much lighter than the M11 and the RX it will come with will also be smaller.

Something to consider......

BigC,

I use ABS alot for on-road nitro; however, some believe it to be a crutch. You should drive with and without ABS, and chose what's most comfortable for your style of driving.

Where will you be racing?

No problem Clinton, always welcome.

Regarding the use of ABS, yes, I do.
I set it with a 1.0 second delay before making the ABS hit. Try it and let me know how you like it.

I have the dx3r and i love it. It feels real natural in my hand, and its super light (u know for those long nitro a mains)

Honestly tho you have to be comfortable with it. I had an m11, and it just never felt comfortable in my hand

Yea the one thing that the dx3r doesnt have is all the bells and whistles, but you really dont need them. My m11 have so much stuff on it that i didnt know what the hell to do with it half the time. One of your biggest enmys sometimes can be having to many tunning features

I would also look at the 4pk. that would be my second choice. The problem i had with it is that i aready had spektrum recievers, and the thing is very freakin expensive
