Default Ok guys so school me on what I should get

I am new to the RC world and I am looking at a few used cars locally. One is a HPI Nitro RS4 and the other is a Team Associated Nitro Tc3. I have researched a good bit but I still havent decided what I want. I love the HPI b/c they have alot of bodies and have a Trans Am body which is what I drive so Im leanin more toward the HPI. However I read on a review site that out of the box the RS4 will only do like 20mph, I just cant seein it being that slow. So Im hoping you guys will tune in and give me some advice and tips as I'm new

i will have to say go with the Nitro TC3 if you want to go with on-road, that was my second rc. you should start out with the tc3 rtr plus it brings everything you need to start and go you only need batteries, fuel and charge the glow starter, its should be about $400 now. might be wrong on the price though just check ur local hobby dealer.

The bodies will fit any of them. If you like an HPI body, just get the body. It will fit TC3, Mugen, Serpent, Kyosho, G4, Motonica, Shepherd, Edam, Pursuit, HPI, Tamiya, Xray, Capricorn, Ofna, Neo or any other 200mm TC's I may have forgotten.

I would say don't worry about upgrades yet, learn the car learn about tuning the engine and focus on spare parts for now. Also what are your intentions to parking lot bash or to one day race in an organized event.

I would say go with the HPI ready to run and add some foam tires and enjoy the hobby you can always add the trans am body no matter which one it comes with. Hope this helps.

The lower arms break really easily. And the diffs are not rigid enough to hold alot of power. Use shims to keep the mesh on ring and pinion tight.
