The Kyosho V-One R was Kyosho's first generation of a highly competive car which was replaced with the V-One RR. The RR had a front one-way, sway bars, cyntax clutch, floating rear-end body mount, foam tires, and other misc goodies. The V-One RR Evo is Kyosho's latest nitro sedan with all of the features of the regular RR, but with the addition of .8 gears, and new front end features that move the roll centers around. It also has a center belcrank with the servo laid down as opossed to mounting it on the top deck. My opinion is to get a RR or RR-Evo. If you find an RR for cheap, you can get a EVO upgrade conversion that gives you etxtra goodies like graphite top deck and a better chassis. PM me for more questions.

If you can get the evo, then go for it. I posted a question in the V1R thread asking if the evo conversion kit will work with the V1R and the answer was "yes." With that, if you can find a V1R for a good price, you can buy the conversion kit and might save you a few dollar.

it all depends on the where you be going to race , if you run mainly parking lot racing , then you are better off with the VoneR..if you will be running at a prepared track then go with voneRR ..

The V-One R and RR are very similar. The only difference is that the RR comes with Centax clutch and floating rear body mount and carbon fiber upper deck. Thats it. They both come with foams and one way and sway bars (front/rear). The V-One R is a very competitive car on a prepared track. I race mine on a prepared track and it does very well compared to the Evo and Mugens. You will be happy and competitive with either.

If you have the money then get the Evo,
No point in buying the V-one R and then upgrading to the evo, you might as well just buy the evo if you can afford it.
