I have both the V1R and the Reflex. The Reflex is a great car, but you get what you pay for. Most of the parts are made in Taiwan, the molds don't fit as precise as the V1R and are a little more brittle. The chassis and the removeable battery mount on the bottom are very nice on the reflex. As far as the other hopups(shock towers, upperdeck, etc.), I'd rather go with Kawahara or Square for the V1R. I actually replaced alot of the Reflex parts with spare parts from my V1R. Trinity still has quality control issues to work out with their molds. For around 260-270 for the Reflex, you get a great deal. I would just replace the molds you don't like with V1R parts. It would be cheaper in the long run to hopup a Reflex with V1R plastic molds, than to hopup a V1R with KFactory hopus.

Save your time and trouble buy the V1R. Or better than that buy the NTC3!

i have found the all around facts now. i am going to get a yokomo gt4 pro,. the facks are true about the reflex and the v1r is nice but the parts are $$$ just like serpent. but the gt4 is the ticket except the 2 speed issue.

I'm not actually sure if "K Factory" is making the plastic molds for the Reflex. I think their either GPM or GS Silicones. Either way, they need to fixed.

The "K Factory" Aluminum and graphite hopups are ok, but not up to par with Kawahara, Square, & Five Star.

Oh yeah, Kawahara and 5 star has some top notch hop up items!

I think I heard it was GS.
Chris Smith @ the HPI forum has been saying there are some changes in the geometry for the Reflex.
But the GT-4 is solid, just get the Mugen clutch 2 spd. If my store had more money on hand I would consider carrying the YOk, and the parts to support it. Just 10k ya know.

With the exception of waiting for the clutch nut for the SG Shaft of the Reflex, and the external shock setup. I found that the car was put together quite well. The pieces fit and with some small challenges the car was easy to dial in. The car ran on rails with the foams and I found it very easy to deal with. The only mods that I have done were the kawahara front anti roll bar from the v1r (fit perfectly). I TQ'd with it and was well on my way to winning a sportsman race (almost ready for expert class) when the crew chief forgot to retune with new plug. My GT 4 is also as easy to drive as the Reflex, but I had to try something new.
