Default Loud Engine

Hello,

This may be a stupid question, but my nitro engine seems louder than most. I have a HPI R40 and using an .12 O.S. engine. Is this a tuning pipe issue or an engine tunning issue?

Thanks for your help.

If its not your tuning, it could be because your manifold or pipe is loose

Can anybody recommend a good tunning pipe that won't wake up neighbors?

That's strange cause i think my STS .30 is louder than others aswell. My pipe/manifold are all tight, my tune seems good as there is visible smoke at full throttle, it's not over temping..................

So i'm putting it down to running the wrong pipe/header for the motor as others who have the same motor don't sound like mine

I think all my fittings are tight as well. Anybody know any good pipes for a .12 engine?

Thanks again.

It all depends on what motor it is as motors perform a lot better when matched with a pipe/header that is for that particular model.
I use the skyline V12+ with an O.S. 12TZ and it's a great match

If you think your pipe is too loud get an ins box.
