Did you buy the kit or did you buy it second hand?

What's on the box if you bought it new or what was it sold as if bought second hand?

That picture has me scratching my head a little bit, not sure what G4 it is

I got this:
http://www.wolfhobbies.com/Gas_On_Ro...s_RTR_Car.html
Not from that site but thats the exact car i got. Was pretty hard to find since the cars pretty much been discontinued
But i just bought a 2nd hand G4+ kit which should revamp it a bit.
One more question, can you guys suggest a pipe to match my O.S which is coming? Im having trouble choosing one.

Cheers

Why not ask the engine builder on pipe choices? I would ask him what to run with head clearance, nitro percentage, plug type and pipe.

The skyline V12+ is a good pipe for the .12TZ not to sure how it would go on the .18 though

I just spoke to Uriah at MM, and he suggested either an outlaw .12-.15 pipe, or a Novarossi 2630 with short header. Ill probably get the novarossi because its easier to get here. But ill try and find that skyline pipe and look it up

Cheers

One other thing, when it comes to gear ratios, if i were to run a .12 like a novarossi what ratio should i be running? a taller ratio than stock?
Cheers

Hey Andy.....Since you are not racing, you need to keep a couple things in mind. One, handling is always important, even during playtime. You want a car that is set up so it tracks straight, and will handle any type of avoidance manuever. Also, handling also plays a part in stabilty issues. So don't overlook the basics of having a well balanced car.

Also, since you don't want the rigors of racing, you don't want the rigors of engine tuning. Race tuned, and high performance engines are tougher to break in, and need someone who is very familiar with tuning to keep running. I would run a OS engine ( probably the 18..that thing hauls) and enjoy a great idle, and a wide powerband with a minimal of tuning needed.

Also, you might want to consider running the car with rubber tires. Foams are designed for swept tracks and clean surfaces, not to metion they also run better on treated asphalt. If you run on rubber, set the car up so it has a little more roll.

Thanks for the info. At this point in time, i will be running the following set up:
G4+ chassis and parts
Murnan modified O.S .18TZ with novarossi 2630 pipe and short manifold
ED transmission
UFO 2 push type clutch
Futaba 3pk
Hitec 5625 servos
AT racing 16% fuel
Tire wise i will probably be sticking with foams, as ive been using them for a while with a lot of success
I need to find some taller gearing as well, any ideas?

I wont get into all the finer details because... basically theres no need
Ive got a mate who's heavily into racing so he'll help me out with the rest of the set up and the engine. Any other reccomendations?

Cheers

Andy.....you say you have run 40 tanks of fuel in this car.....during this time have you had to replace anything on the car such as belts, clutch spring, shock tower,ect.....The reason I ask is I have ordered this same car and need to know what spare parts to get.......I want to race at the local track.

The only thing ive ever had to replace is a first spur gear. Everything elso worked well stock.
Lets hope it stays this way with my new engine

Same stock gear. I think the engine just shifted when i was drifting and throttling at the same time
After 40 tanks, somethings bound to move or break, i was pretty happy with the durability of it.
