Storing a gel cell

What is the best way to store a gel cell battery, charged or discharged?

Store it charged. Its always best to keep them charged. Never let them get completely flat. When I'm not using mine I store it charged and about every 2 weeks I'll put it to trickle charge for a little while to stay topped up (not that it losses much charge anyway). Also to I've heard that if not used for a couple months their capacity can reduce, that's why I keep charging it every so often to keep it working.

hey guys how do you charge a gel cell...besides buying a separate charger for 10 bucks..or is there any alternatives

I've heard some people say that they use their car battery charger to charge their gel cell. I don't know if this is a good way to charge it and I haven't tried it (not that keen to try it). I just bought a specific charger for mine from and electronic store for about $24AUS, I think that's the best way to go and to be safe and sure.
