The price is 20-25%less than Fantini but we all like it the same .
I have open these two engine and I don't find great differences.
Thanks for the info Mario. I don't think we are able to find Mario Rossi edition of the Novarossi engines you mentioned. I thought Mario Rossi only did 1/8th scale engines...

Have any pics to show us how the external / internals of the Mario Rossi engine looks like?

Perhaps the opening at idle was pretty small (less than 1 mm). So lean LSN was required to compensate for that.

If you play the flywheel around 60 deg (10 minutes), its time !!!
Cool. Thanks for the tip. Being able to turn the flywheel in 10 minutes is a lot !

This is a new trick ?
You mean to adjust the idle speed using LSN? since the idle screw is constant in .5mm

Not a new trick ! Promise. Leaning the LSN little by little, you'll notice the idle will go up slightly when you come to a point. I guess this indirectly affects the idle...

No, it was my fault! I think I had the HSN set incorrectly and it affected the LSN in such a way that I had to make the LSN very lean and this lead to the gap only being 0.5mm.
Either that or my 2106 really is more damaged that I first thought

Here are some articles that might help you with your Serpent shocks.

There's another article, but I can't find it at this moment.

Externally Mario rossi is identical to a ns12s3 or nsr12s3 but with the little signature on the top "M.R."
Internally is worked on the sleeve externally and on the crankshaft as the fantini but it seems to me that the shaft is worked more radically in M.R.

Quick test, dont touch/change LSN - reduce head shim by .1 mm or replace conrod(I suspect too much play in this part) your engine should scream instantly when trigger touched.
GoldFinger, that's a good point but Mark's engine is brand new I think. He was running it in. I hope he hasn't damaged the conrod already!

Pyramid, you find that with this kind of power/punch that your belts last?

Cheers, Mark.
Ah, I must have missed that part Mark, I thought its a brand new engine that were running in!

It was, but then came the damaged crankshaft which destroyed the conrod. I ordered a new crankshaft and conrod, but the conrod didn't turn up So I used my "older" conrod from my 12 RE - so I have essentially a new engine with an old conrod, so what Goldfinger said could well be true

Sow&Steady,
I just downloaded and watched the BRCA 1:10 Final videos.
Nice work!
Seems like everyone on that driver's stand was using stick controllers.
