Cutting the front tires will just make your tires thinner making it not handle as well. Wider is always better correct? I never tried this but I think you should put spacers between the inside wheel and the purple aluminum wheel adapter.

If you need to spend 10 bucks to trim 4 tires its a rip off. Im sure people will be kind enough to let you use their tire truer for free. Unless they are cheap bastards If you cant use one for free then buy one. 10 bucks here and there will cost you and sooner or later you will be able to buy one yourself with all that money you alread spent. If you plan on racing and is serious about winning then I woulod recommend buying one. At my track the shop let people true their tires for free. How can they say no when your paying track frees? Its called customer service

i never had a problem with performance when cutting the tire if anything you will have less rotating mass, not much but some. And i never charge anybody to true or cut tires im there to race and have fun ,not there to make profits

Just to piss the other guy off buy a tire truer and charge half the price. j/k

But I do agree, its a hobby people should just have fun and not make $$$. Its not like your asking for nitro fuel. I could walk up to anyone I dont even know and ask them to borrow their glow plug starter or even a starter box. Just know the rules, use it at their pit area and not take it with you

Or you could reduce the rotating mass as well and put some dragster front tires on

YaHeardMeWhoadie

What kind of engine are you looking for?

I can recommend the novarossi NS12 S5 and the RB V12T . they're both screamers.

A good place to get RB's is Ashfordhobby.com -Robert- Great customer service, same day shipping, average prices and always full stock of parts

For 710 parts ashford has better prices than atomic and has EVERYTHING in stock!!

Looking at the picture, which is not too clear, it appears that you have worn the steering arm by having a bent wheel rub up against it. The green spoked wheel (kit) are 26+,- mm wide; the white disk wheels are 27+,- mm wide. The latter barely clear the steering arms; the spoked ones have about 1 mm clearance. The forum on mytsn mentions that serpent is coming out with new wheels in a month or so--my bet is they have 1 mm ofset. Cut 1 mm off the inside of the disk Ellegis and you will have the same clearance as the spoked ones (still not much).
