You were not supposed to remove that. Its the spacer for the balls, made with a special material instead of the usual metal ones.

I'm afraid this bearing of yours is toast.

Going back to an older topic. The rear link arm or whatever you guys call that plastic rod link that goes to the rear knuckle. You guys say that it pulls the threads out with the stock pillowballs because the threads on the stock pillowballs aren't long enough, correct? And buy buying the steel pillowballs for the Impulse this will remedy the thread stripping problem right? Let me know as I'm getting to order my spare parts!!!
Went out today and bought a Stratus 2.1 body and some paint. I think my paint scheme I'm going to do will look pretty good. Was suppost to get my 710 yesterday but FedEx didn't even ship it from California from a week and a half ago because they didn't have the proper customs paperwork! Its now on its way and I should have it by this coming Thursday! Can't wait!! Thanks and let me know what you think about the pillowball situation.

Default Now see them drive!

Hello all ... been busy rendering a small video for you folks.

You've seen them here :

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...&pagenumber=54

And you tried guessing which one was MasterD.

Now see them drive here :

http://rc.kel-ain.com

Of course, the video was edited to protect the innocent.

By the way, this was the race which was closed to most of us because it was meant for first timers only.

Enjoy!

But again, Serpent will usually respond within a day and ship the missing/broken parts within a week.................I am always wonder, what if I got a Kyosho, Mugen, HPI or Tamiya kit...? Do I need to call Japan and learn Japanese before I get my parts shipped to my house wtihin a year...?

Customer Service of Serpent is top of the line.....I wish they can hold a OPEN DAY for their customer once a year......(I really want to see that WALL OF FAME from Serpent Europe.)
I'm still continuing with the building and I have no problem with the missing parts - get this: I posted an email to Pieter Bervoets on Sat and within an hour he had replied, saying the parts would be sent out on monday!!! That is real customer service!!!! I can't believe any other firm would provide this level of support.

That funny I don't think you're telling us the whole truth there though - it looks more like hunt the first timer to me You sent that poor rookie out and then had a pack of good guys behind him to hunt him down - wasn't that last car to hit him from InitialD!! I think we need to more know more about this

What you removed is the bearing carrier, i.e. that which holds the bearings in position. I think you can probably throw away the bearing.

Have a look at the FAQ I post, there is a section there on bearing servicing - in fact, here's the link to the article:

http://www.mytsn.com/publ/publ.asp?pid=9214

Cheers, Mark.

Well, guys my build is "complete" I was really enjoying it - shame it didn't last a bit longer

I now have to wait for my servos and engine turning up - and that is probably quite a few weeks noe

Here's a couple of pics
