For thrust bearings, I use the Mugen Super Grease. It's very sticky and last pretty long when applied to the thrust bearing.

Likewise, for the diff balls, I smear a very thin coat of the same grease on them before assembly. Still no gritty feeling after all this while of running.:nod:

IS this new shock tower available? Is it suppost to be any stronger than the original?

So this stuff you use "D". Is it called 'Mugen Super Grease"?? Where can I find this stuff?

I use the Tamiya graphite grease. But maybe as D suggests, you can simply use the Mugen/AE grease.

D, what do you use for the drive shafts?

It should be stronger. The stock is only 2.5 mm thick.

It's a kind of dry lube that is powder based. Because it's dry, it does not attract dust. Have you tried your local hardware store?;)

I'll give my local hardware store a try this weeekend. So is it a grease or more of a powder?

Ideally, you would want to use dry graphite grease on all moving parts except the thrust bearings. For thrust bearing and the diff balls, I use the Mugen Super Grease. For the middle shaft and the 2 speed layshaft, I dab a drop of silicone shock oil where the bearing rubs on the shafts.

I've tried using silicone shock oil with success. Now I'm trying out the Serpent Bearing Lube 1682 as per the mytsn tip.

It's powder based. The one I have is black / grey in colour.

Be careful when putting places near bearings though. I found that when I put the graphite on the middle shaft and 2 speed layshaft, it went into the 6x13x5 bearing and made it gritty !

Part number for the Mugen grease is B0308.;)

I'll have to see if I can get the dry graphite grease from somewhere - I always found that the graphite grease that I use does attract a lot of dirt.
