Can someone answer this?

Droop means the amount of uptravel fo the chassis. Which also means how much the lower arms move downward.

I got the 710 + TP06 + Novamega SS3p for 699 Euro. That's a cheap as it comes in Europe. I've got a very good LHS and I'm happy to support him.

Mr D - Full PM again But no worries - I prefer to support my LHS when he does good deals.

Not sure when I'll get the 710, I've simply confirmed my order at the moment.

I'll have to dust off the 705 now and get some practise in - snow is forcast for the weekend but spring is coming, just very slowly!

Well, I believe it's actually not the cheapest by our standards here. With those stuff you mentioned, I estimate that it can be gotten for about EURO 150 cheaper here. Still, shipping and all the waiting game would square it to about the same price...

Just in case you forgot, you also need 2 servos and a receiver for the car.

Yeah, in my exceitment I could forget something like that

I'm probably going for the Sanwa VR servos, as they are the ones which probably fit best with the dimensions. Receiver, hmmm, open to suggestions still.

That's what I reckoned, too. And then to save 50 Euro, which I don't mind giving to my LHS to ensure that he remains in business.
If it was more like 250 Euro, then I would have had to have thought about it twice.

I'm happy with the deal, though

Thumbs up

Hi Guy’s.
Long time not responding, but I was keep reading and reading and reading,… .

Ok, we have some little problems with the 710, but we are working on solutions.
We will change the rear lower wishbone, the Bumper and body plate. We also will change the rear and front shock tower.
After the Winternats and the Pre-Worlds it could be possible that I will find some more things to change. We have a good and fast car, now lets get rid of the few weak points.

Keep going
Rene

Hi Rene,

I for one welcome such changes and developments, but know that some will critisise Serpent for this move.
Having experienced the world of big scale racing (i.e. F3, F3000 and F1) at first hand, I know that developement doesn't stop after the car is produced.
It is very hartening to see that Serpent admit to where the weak points are and are willing to fix them.
I also have a Tamiya EVO III and although there is a major problem with the one-way gear, Tamiya have simply ignored the problem and left the customers in an unfortunate situation. It was left to the customers to come up with solutions, meaning that the parts to solve this issues aren't allowed in certain races.

Keep up the good work, guys and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on my 710 very soon.

Mark.

For sure we don’t will make major changes. We don’t have a big problem, like when you drive the car or have a little crash that all brakes. One part must always be the weakest and break. But when you can improve and the costumers get can get a better part, why we should not do that? The “older” parts must always fit.
So you can drive your car like it is, but when in future something brakes and you must buy a new part, it will be stronger. And don’t forget, we are talking over a few parts only, not the whole car.

Thats good and bad news....

When will this likley happen? And in what form? Will us owners be required to purchase an "upgrade" kit? Some kind of discount for current owners would be nice.

Thats the biggest problem of getting on the bandwagon of a new kit early. You get the car whils the teething problems are getting sorted out, and then have to pay to resolve them on your car. Whilst those that hold off a few months get the updated parts in their kit.

Good to see Serpent is sticking to its performance through evolution, but it would be nicer to see the company look after us its "beta testers" when the evolution comes so damn soon after release. ie.. under 2 months

What I want to know is will the parts be a new design or will they use a different material/mix for the ones that are more fragile?
