Also when I rotate the cam to 12 o'clock it binds the suspension even with the screw loose. When I turn the cam to 1 o'clock (and beyond) it's free.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks, jag Use a thin round file, and make the hingepin hole slightly oval from left to right. It's a bit of work but the result is worth it. |

I'm heading to the track tonight to try a few things... gear diff, front spool, new shocks, relocated DRS arms. Yes, I know, only make one change at a time. I am trying to make direct comparisons between the shocks and the front diff/one-way/spool. Wish me luck. I will report back tomorrow with my findings. |

another guy tried 50K but his car looks very strange so I guess too hard. ACO surface just been "re-coated" so traction is fairly good. |

Will serpent be delivering silicon oil? And if so, what are the parts numbers?

Will the bottle's be bigger? The serpent oil and silicon-shock-oil bottle's are way to small and (well, i think) a little too expensive. I use the triniti silicon oil because it's the same price and i get 2 times the amount.... |

Gear Diff
I got a chance to try out the new gear diff and it worked great. I put 10,000 wt. in there first (that's all I had) but the rear was sloppy. My friend gave me some 30,000 at the track and that worked much better. I'm going to try 50,000 next time out.
I'm still experimenting with the front end. I think the locked one-way will be the ticket if I can get a little more steering. I tried softer front springs (yellow) and that helped some. I am goint to try disconnecting the front sway bar, opening more holes in the shocks and softer front tires to see if any of these things, or combo of things, helps. Any other suggestions? The car is just a little slow thru 2 tight areas of the track compared to my friends RRR. The car is an absolute rocket from corner to corner. :D |
For faster direction change, try playing around with the front roll-center.
I prefer harder springs in the front too, the yellow is just too sluggish but at the end it is the combination of these. |
Harden the front springs and make the rear diff tighter. Worked wonders for me... but then again,i'm not that experienced..
it seems (in what i see/think) to give more steering out of the corner, but that's basicly from the tighter rear diff, the softer springs seem to soft and make tires 'search' for grip and let the front roll too mutch.... the harder front springs seem to give more presure on the tires and the front doesn't roll as mutch... but, i'm very unsure in this... |
