Default Starter box

What type of starter box do you guys use? I have a Serpent starter box powered with 2 x 6 cells 3000 Nimh and its not powerful enough to spin the flywheel on my new motor. I finally got the motor runing using some other starter box at local track. (dont remember brand).
After I broke-in new motor on 710 I can barely start it with Serpent box but there is no way I can spin the flywheel on my 960.
Any suggestions??

That's very strange. I have owned a serpent and its starter box for nearly two years and have never experienced that. Those starter boxes are rather powerful!

Either your batteries have gone bad or the motors are damaged.

As far as starting a new motor, how about preheating it with a hair dryer if you are starting your engine for the first time. After break-in it should be fine.

Hey Guys,

I found this on an article on MyTSN regarding the 2005 spec 710 kit

"Some 2005 improvements include;
*Uppgraded and improved manual.
*Thicker rear shocktower (3mm).
*Two new tools included for the centax and 2-speed.
*The new rear diff-clamp.
*Extra 1mm shims for the front roll-center adjustment.
*Extra plastic parts for fixed shock setting.
*New type looking wheelnuts."

With regards to the new rear diff clamp is that 802393? It also talks about new centax tools included in the kit, is that 1462? What parts are urgent upgrades? I look forward to hearing from you all shortly.

No it's not the alu part. The 802387 is included in the kit.

Important extra's:
Front ball diff #802370. I run it close to everywhere.

Options for better drivers (otherwise spend the money on tires = practice!)
Chassis 4mm alu. T6 Team #802121
Engine monoblock M12 (ME/PI) #802553 (or #802552 for Nova engines)
Bracket radioplate support alu #802136
Increase overall stiffness
CV-axles set #802350 No more lost bones and smoother drivetrain in corners

Other nice to have options: (if you've money to spare)
Hex wheel adaptors Orange # 802255
Lightweight pulley adapters #802165
Alu front upper arm brace #802220
