Well done to everyone involved in putting that together, very comprehensive. With a bit of luck I should have the used car by the weekend so I can get familiar with it.
Good luck and let us know how you get on.

The same diff that comes with the Impulse.

I think once you have the right oil for the track and set-up, it will be nice and consistent like the Impulse ones but I'm struggling to decide. I really like the convenience of being able to adjust quickly with the ball diff. This is especially so these days because I'm racing in the nationals monthly and 90% of the time I have never been to the track. I only get the Saturday before the race to do no more than 3 or 4 tanks usually so being able to do quick changes helps. On the Sunday all we get is three 5 minute heats. If all goes well then I am still adjusting set-ups between heats but we all know that 95% of the time there is something else to deal with in between and then its the final!

The answer is, as always, have the gear diff when it gets out because I'm curious, start with the ball diff each time and don't get lazy with maintenance!

I guess once it out they want it to be perfect! it takes time. Same case with the RCC damper in which now I heard Xray wants something new for their shocks as well.

Good point there.... as for decision suggestion if I may, I'm sure you would be able to afford to have more than one (filled with different oil)

The one I used at the weekend was actually even better! It was a custom built one out of Aluminium. If I can find the charger for my camera, I'll post a pic - the diff is absolutely beautiful!

Cheers, Mark.

Yer, well, it isn't so easy as that, I think. Serpent are really working hard on having a top car and we're pushing the envelope here with the diffs and all. The ball diff is still thought to be the faster option, but the gear diff makes it a bit easier to drive.

Wait a little longer and Serpent will have a beautiful gear diff available.

Cheers, Mark.
