- Will give more off power steering and more on power oversteer.
- Should give slightly less turn in but less difference in off-on power steering
- More steering and mabe more predictable rear end.
- Results depend on the track
- Less clutch slip
- More wheelspin. Might give less performance as a too short gearing will rev hard but give no forward speed. I never use the 16t for that reason. It sounds quicker but isn't.

I suggest if you struggle with on power oversteer to try a bigger difference in the diff settings. Harder in front and softer in the rear. Have your pitmonkey adjust (little by little) the tightness of the front diff and see if you can get the balance you want.

What body are you using?
Which shock positions?

Do you agree with my list of changes (except the gearing)?

I was afraid that the 16t 1st gear would do that. I will not try that. I have used the 61t, at the advise of Paolo, and it seemed pretty good but that was on a faster track (Ft. Meyers).

So would you clasify my problem as "on power oversteer"? I didn't know that. I learned something new today. Knowing the proper terminology may prove beneficial. I will have my "pitmonkey" experiment with that. (Justrace, I am refering to you).

I am currently using a Dodge Stratus body (the old one). I have a Cadillac body and a Mazda 6 that I am going to try once I get the setup finished.

I have the rear shocks mounted:
top - 1 up from bottom
bottom - outside

Front:
top - 1 up from bottom

Red springs and 3 holes.

Any chances you would come to Fla for the WinterNats?

Thanks, Julius

No chance of me coming to Fla. I love that race though.

I'd go down to the lowest pos on the rear shocks on the top and experiment with going one up in front.

I will go move my shocks right this minute... well maybe after the football game is over.

If you change your mind about the WinterNats just let me know. I would be honored to be your pitmonkey, waterboy, whatever. You probably travel with your own support staff... big time racer like yourself.

BTW, You know they just repaved the track. It's very nice.

Thanks,
jag

I'll give you a call. Just give the wife the credit card... or is it some crown moulding? What are you doing tomorrow? I think I have the day to myself. Julius, do you want to fly over for some practice? The hurricane is gone.

Don't spread yourself too thin. You know you have to support me, O, Niketa, etc... It's tough when you are the best mechanic around.

Yeah, Julius saw it when he took my clutch apart and really spat on it!

Hi there!

What is the difference between the red soft shock bladders and the oem black ones? I currently run the redīs, but one shock is leaking from the top and I only have blackīs as spares...

Wow! 2500 RX packs. Where do I find that?! I use a 2500 TX pack with my 3PK

With Spektrum, it last even longer.

Suggest 900mAh for the RX though.

I'm not sure what you mean by OEM. Aren't they both Serpent made products? Anyway, red soft shock bladders are . . . . soft. Black, not soft. My experience has been black has cracked while red has not.

When are the RCC shocks out? Anyone use them? They look really cool.

OK, with "oem" I meant the ones from the kit. They are also Serpent for sure...

The red ones are softer and they come with a foam insert.

Check it out, #909446. I just ordered a set.
