Re: Re: Alternative Receiver Mounting
Originally posted by markp27 It also feels very strong - there are fewer openings in the chassis, making it more rigid. It is also supposed to weigh a few more grams, therefore bringing the CoG lower still. Nice! Maybe you could use something like the Xray ariel mount there somewhere - the rubber grommet looks a little weak. Cheers, Mark. The aerial mount should be the small plastic part from 3mm stabilizer but I cannot find it in my box that time. The xray part will be very nice too. About the chassis, i dont know in theory but in practical the hole below the engine is not only as a cooling hole but they are really help to clear out the dirt. |

Tnks Rodrigo Meira :) PRO belt, compare to regular belt, are softer and give smoother drive train, but since it is softer, it is not as durable as regular belt. IMO, regular belt is more than enough. for budget and weight saving, i don't recommand alu. pulley, the stock one have serve me for almost two year, no problem at all  710 is a car that do not need much options, the most you need is the 2.5mm rear sway bar, spare arms and lot of tyre and fual to detonate your engine:lol: |

Tnks Rodrigo Meira :) The rear of my car is still almost original (after 1.5 years) so normally nothing much breaks there - but in the race pack, you'll have some spare just in case. I wouldn't bother with the pro belts. The run smoother, but are softer and wear quicker. Also after a couple of runs, you have some oily gunge and dust from the track in the pulley, which would negate the advantages of the pro belts over the standard ones. I think the only alu rear pulley is available from 3racing and I've heard that the teeth wear to points and end up cutting your belts - the standard pulleys are fine. I've just worn out my first one after a lot of driving. Start off with the race pack http://www.the-border.com/product.ph...&cat=81&page=7 Also have a look at this article: http://www.mytsn.com/publ/publ.asp?pid=10965 This gives you a good idea of the nice to have hop-ups. Oh and don't foget about reading the FAQ in my signature below :D Cheers, Mark. |
