No wonder D had a poor showing at the race last year ... it was due to your "influence"!

you know what he told us when he got back ... "it was just for the experience". And we thought the "experience" of being near MS and joining the Tech Talk clinic and all.

We agree on the FL but not on the FR. You must be assuming that the chassis do not "lift" at all at the FR when turning right then (zero droop on the front).

Reactive Caster

Still remember those days when I drove the Evo2 with Pivot Ball suspension, while everyone at the track laughed at me for sticking with the PB suspension. At the same time, I kept kicking their C-Hub suspension cars, while they didn't know the how useful using the reactive caster was. And I was so amazed with it and how it reacted.

If it is a reactive caster adjustment on Salven's car and will get mass produced after the Worlds, take my word: GET ONE SOON !!
Excellent link! Definitely a "GET ONE SOON" thingy.

Actually it is something you can do with the stock parts. I tried it once in Heemstede. I put the rear part in the stock position (one shim above and one under) and the front without shims. I found it difficult to drive I had more steering into and mor out of the turn but it was unpredictable.

Could be that it works on this track though.

Unfortunately the picture is not accesible at the moment. Because I fail to get why there whould be a shim on top of the front side.

Also it could have been an experiment and the photo taken at that time may not reflect the setup that is on the car at present...

Julius, I think you're right about it possibly being an experiment. If you go to 3hobby.com and then in the Forum Center, click on "IFMAR 1:10 IC World Championship", there's a picture of Michael working on his car and the orange top block is NOT on his car!

I believe highest front roll center is used on MS car while the the fr spacer is used simply to aviod screws touching bottom bearing block. Or simply standar RC is used as that alu holder is shapped thinner in the front part

I was told by someone at Serpent USA that it is a cost issue. The Hudy parts are too expensive... that's what he told me. Also, they have no Hudy/Serpent parts or Hudy tools at all. They told me that they sent all of the tools back when they split. Maybe they sent all of the parts back as well? Anyway, it doesn't sound good. They are now selling the 3Racing stuff.
