I wonder how that Mugen Super Grease got onto my tyres and onto Sow's hands and why was he looking at the tube and kept saying "My precious"?!?!?!?!?
I think that was D using the RING. They weren't my hands.

Yeah I know D. I was editing a video to post on 3hobby and just realised that in a race full of Lolas and Lolettas, there's this one sedan car. Wonder whose car it is?

It sometimes depends on the track surface.
You may have noticed that a certain setup when taken to another track can give a copletely different balance. Ie on your normal track the car is neutral and on another the same setup can give a very nervous rear end or no so steering.

That is caused by the tires reacting differently to various surface types (remember rear and front rubber types are different).

So it's a case of experimenting I'm afraid.

Also the choice of body and how far forward or backward it's placed make a big difference in how the rest of the setup has to be.

In Amstetten at the Euro's I experimented a bit with body position. It's amazing how much difference 5mm can make in steering and balance.

Julius, do you find that in general the positions of the body as recommended by the manufacturer (looking at the dimples provided) gives a good balance?

It very much depends if the diples are for your specific car. Most protoform shells don't have dimples I think.

Normally the first time I cut a new type shell I'll align the front wheelarches to sit in the middle of the wheels when using 2-3mm caster.

Then I'll decide if the next one needs adusting depending on experience.
