Yeah, a neutral ground helps !

Hopefully the next IFMAR 1/10th scale worlds for nitro TC in 2006 will be held somewhere close... Down under perhaps?

Hopefully by then, Mark and Uncle Sow won't be too old.

Default Rear Roll centre

D

I heard you mention a little while ago that you thought the default rear setup worked a little better with the high front rol centre because it allow the car to roll better around corners

Is this true or did I get the statement a little wrong.

I am interested in trying it next race meet. My rear is too loose with upper inner and low rear roll centre. I have tried everything

If those old folks cannot wait or if they think that by 2006 they are too old to enter competition, they could register themselves for the 1/5TH lawnmower onroad WC in Lostallo, Switzerland. Date is scheduled for August 18-28, 2005.

If 45mins is too long for them to stand, maybe we could arrange some wheelchairs?

Default font belt issue

hi, the front belt rubbing the chassis and someone told me this could be resloved by milling the chassis down or changing to serpent metal front belt mount which provides higher lever. Is that correct ? Does the 3 racing metal front mount also help to reslove the issue or only serpent does ? thanks

If you had gone for the Serpent Asia Challenge in Thailand early this year, you would have gotten the same kind of tool with the words Serpent Asia Challenge engraved on it.

It's a flywheel lock to tighten the flywheel nut. Unfortunately, it looks like only flywheels with 3 pins (read Serpent Centax) can be used with this tool...

The 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, 0.8 and 0.9 numbers engraved are actually spacings or clutch gaps for the Centax clutch. Really handy as you do not need to use the caliper when you set the clutch gap. It acts like a filler gauge. Just slot it where the thrust bearings are and see which number fits in the gap.

I would not worry too much about the front belt rubbing. Mine has always done that. If you have a milling machine at your disposal like Pyramid or Goldfinger, you could mill that part of the chassis so that the belt clears.

I don't know about the "serpent metal front belt mount". Are you referring to the aluminum mid bearing block? I have no idea that this will "solve" the belt rubbing issue. Mark? Onkel Sow? Picard? Sparsky?
