Originally posted by InitialD You're cruel Picard ! Perhaps I think it's time to ask those two old guys to pass the RING to you instead of hording it for themselves to try and look young.    |
Originally posted by Sow&Steady Yeap, the mind trick got his tyres slippery and then an added bit of FORCE ensured that his 11 fin JP-FX looked smaller than my 9 fin NSR5.   |

Originally posted by markp27  Hmm more than a coincedence if you ask me my friend!!! A large disturbance in the force, the ring bearer being at the track and two guys shoot straight throught the fence on the long sweeper on the same lap - I'll let you draw your own conclusions  |
Originally posted by RoyU I track race on has 200ft straight with a very tight infield. Longer that it is wide. Has very good traction but not to the point of traction rolling. What is the part number for the new servo saver? I am using a Futaba S9402 servo. I have the cf front upper brace from RDlogics InitialD, Associated 80 wt shock oil With the stock setup, the car has lot of rear traction. I'll give your advices a try and see what happens Try the setup I posted and work backward from there. You will not complain about push. that's for sure |
Originally posted by InitialD Strange. It should work. Paul Knapton's 710 setup on slicks at the AMCC track here. |
Originally posted by markp27 Thank you master, I did wonder if Sow had been telling me the truth, but Onkel Sow's mind tricks were far stronger than I had prepared myself for  He could change the tyres/engines on his car quicker than I could see  I must prepare myself better for the next visit! |
Originally posted by InitialD Perhaps a cool trick to add is the short wheelbase mod if you're having tight hairpins. Especially since you got the rear part of the car stable. 802145 and it comes with the new diff ring. That would be the same as the 3Racing one. Use that and the front section will hold up crashes better. Of course not the ones that go straight into the wall. In my opinion, that's pretty heavy ! If you have Associated 50 or 60 wt would be about right. Yes, that is correct. I guess a lot of people complained about setting up the 705 that made it almost undrivable out of the box. Serpent probably included an out of the box setup which was possible to drive on most tracks which would mean an understeer type of setup. Speaking of the new diff ring i put that on and it rubs slightly  But it is no big deal |
Originally posted by Picard Should be enough thanks Roy get your hands on the new servo saver and the steering linkage needs to be at 39.5 - 40mm to give you correct throw |
Originally posted by markp27 You're right - Sow didn't look good when he took the ring off   We were attacking each other with our walking sticks/zimmer frames in the pit lane - like two old slugs fighting   |
