Default Download Updates

For those who are building their kits, there is a supplemental sheet to be downloaded. I don't know if this is included in the kit but you can download it here or I'll just put it up here for convenience.

It's some additional instructions on how to assemble the Centax III clutch pinions onto the clutchbell properly.

This one is already included in the car kit ...
and follow with a metal O-ring (#802511) for the Centax III

Additional S710 modification info

Serpent has inserted a small shim in the last part of packing process, which needs to be used between the 2 pinion gears on the Centax-3 (see attached sheet), this shim and the sheet to explain the use, will be packed inside the plastic bags with the manuals and decals.

The assembly fit of the 2 pinion gears is quite critical. The Serpent gears are OK, but if you over-tighten the 2 pinions, then the gears will wobble a little, which may cause the 2-speed gears to strip.

With attention to detail, Serpent has made a small aluminium shim to fit between the 2 gears. Also the 2 tools to fasten the gears on the bell are included in the kit standard, to make it easier to mount the gears. (The steel Clutch housing holder is not included in the kit, but will become available as option in Feb. 2004). Unfortunately this shim could not be included in the manual or ref-guide anymore. Serpent will change it in the I-manual on TSN though.

#802511 Centax-3 gear-shim alu
This shim will also be supplied with the 16T and 17T gears.

Another story,

... the new Novamax 3Ports NSR based with special piston are also out (engine head marking is S3 instead of P3 for the old version).
