On a slightly happier note - in one respect it was good that I wasn't able to run, as when I got home I found I'd left my TX unit here Now I would have been mad if I'd first discovered that at the circuit

I'm having the most depressed few days too, my service provider fasthost.com (don't ever use them!) is keeping quiet as to why I can't have 3hobby.com up. They won't even reply to my requests to have my backup files so that I can cancel my account with them.
Ba*st*ar*s!!!!!!!!! What a bunch of jokers they must be!!! But if they have 10,000 customers on one server, I can imagine they are dead on the floor at the moment!!

The good news is that it is sunny here and I'm going to the track right this minute.
You know this means I can't practice before the Oct date now I have maybe one or two days where I can spend a couple of hours at the circuit

Default German tracks

Hi Markp27,

I feel really sorry for you man!

Where in Germany do you race?
I live in the Netherlands and have raced in Oberhausen for the ICC.
Do you know some interesting tracks and races in Germany?
I race a Serpent 710 with a 3p JP FX black engine.

I live in the southern part of Germany near a town called Nuremberg. Oberhausen is about 400 kilometers away from me.
There are lots of tracks within this area - but some have rules that mean only club members can run on Saturdays.
The nicest track around here is at Bamberg, which plays host to the German Championship next weekend. I hope to be able to get there to watch, but I have visitors for the next couple of weeks, so it may be difficult

Actually Nuremberg is where the DTM runs on a street circuit just outside the centre of the town. You're thinking of the Nuerburgring which is in the west of the country - many people make this mistake

My circuit's website is:

www.macn.de

and the track where the German championship is taking place is:

www.mbcbamberg.de

Cheers, Mark.

Default Nuremberg

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the links.

Try: rcauto.pagina.nl sometime.

On the left site you can see a lot of information about clubs in the Netherlands, and Germany.

At my local track we try to bring a lot of non-dutch drivers, and members of other clubs.
It is certainly raising our clubs level and the overall skill level.

In the Dutch electric touringcar championship modified class, we even have a German racing, and doing well!

We want to see te same in the 1/10 200mm class.
This due the fact that the gap between National championship drivers and ICC drivers is getting way to large.
In our National championship you only see sponsored drivers.
The gap between other National's drivers that aren't sponsored is about 2 sec per lap if you are really fast.
If you are that fast the ICC is to easy for you.

Most of those fast ICC guys just keep racing there because they can win there, but this is not a good thing for the younger drivers.
We try to find a way to upgrade our overall level, and racing at unknown tracks is a good step.

If there are any parts missing from the gearbox, then it isn't going to work. Make sure you have all the parts and then re-build it as per the instructions.

Then you will have to get a new one

Try a ceramic one if you can
Those are real nice and smooth

Running modded crankshaft, of course you need to test it out at full throttle.
