I hope to make another fun race in Vegas. I'm thinking about doing the IGT for the March race as well. Yes, you can all abuse me once again.

Any word yet on the entry form and hotel info? I might be able to make it, but will not be there on April 24, for Armenian reasons.

If things work out, I want to meet Team Hye!

Sure thing! We can even get Hye too! Ok ok, enough of that.

Heh, we'll see about being a pitman. I'll probably be fast enough to miss your car, fuel someone else up, and then send them off by accident. And yes, this has happened to me before.

When I get my car in, I will be working on getting it setup. Garen said he is going to give me some building tips since he will be having a week headstart on me. So that will help. But in the meantime, what is the track like in Las Vegas? Is it high grip? Medium? Low? Treated? Dusty? Even? Recommended setup?

haha! You're too funny man!

Have you or Arno, or another member of Team Hye raced at this track before? I just want to know what kind of track it is so I can create a setup sheet for it once I get the Motonica dialed-in at 301 Raceway.

Hope you can make it Harry, you will like the track and I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Vegas.
The track is normally prepped the day before and the morning of the first day of practice with blowers, vacuum, and traction compound. Normally the traction is very good- not super sticky/slot car track like and not greasy when it get hot. The track is located between soccer fields and a trailer park, so if the winds kick up high enough, there are times when the track can get dusty, but with enough cars on the track, the racing line stays clean. The track is maintained as needed through the weekend. You can see in this video the wind is blowing pretty hard (look at the flags and ezups) and there is some dust on the track, but the cars get around just fine:

The entry form will be available soon, but in the meantime I want to say a couple of things. If anyone is debating whether or not to come, I want to say that this event went off without a hitch last year and I know everyone had a good time and went home happy. I will do my best to make this year's event even better. If anyone has any questions or concerns, please post them here or send an email to [email protected].

The entry fee will be $50 for the first class, and that includes Friday practice. The track is open early every day and open until late every night, I think about 9 or 10pm. The track has stadium type lighting so if you want to or need to stay late and get extra track time, it's available for you.

Just like last year I will provide free pizza on the afternoon of the practice day and there will be special prize races for the fastest unsponsored drivers. I hope we'll be able to get special rates at the Siena Suites. Last but not least, the best sushi in town: http://www.myspace.com/sushidanlv
