clutch ?

i am woundering do all kits like the reflex nt , gt4 . ect. come with a clutch kit and if not what is the best clutch kit to get for a mt12 engine .thank you.

I believe all nitro touring cars come with shoe type clutch. The only exception is the MTX2 Pro Spec and V One RR which is replaced with a Centax clutch.

There is not really a "best" clutch. Its simply a matter of tuning. Clutch tuning is essential for getting the best "launch." You can alter it by adding or removing more weight on the shoes or using lighter or heaver clutch springs. You can record data when you start doing clutch tuning. Most people use Centax clutch because it can be easily tuned without removing the engine.

thanks , i was thinking that most kits came with clutch of some sort either 2 shoe or 3 shoe. so the centax clutch is a more heavy duty clutch and easer to tune. thank you.

I think Mugen's is the least expensive and it works well. You'll need an sg shaft engine or the sg adapter for a standard crankshaft engine. Check www.speedtechrc.com The Mugen clutch should be around $70 and you'll need a thrust bearing. It doesn't come in the clutch kit. Buy an extra and keep that bad boy lubed up.

Will the mugen centax work in the relfex NT or should you use the V one R centsax. or maybe they are the same and I obviously know nothing!

I haven't seen the Trinity car up close, but it should fit. You might have to shim the flywheel or flip the pinion gears around to get things to line up correctly, but it should work. I am using a Mugen centax clutch on a Collari Innotech engine installed in a Kyosho FW04 and everything fits perfectly.
