Ran this body last weekend, compared to the zytek, it is a much more stable body, has great amount of high speed steering and seems to be forgiving if you get the line a little wrong. Also doesnt seem to load the car up up and drag the motor down in high speed cornering.

Great Body Dale.

Default P909

Ran the P909 for the first time at 301 this past weekend and was very impressed. Similar to the Zytech, but "I" think it is a little more stable than the Zytech. The P909 was faster than I expected, And did'nt mind dipping into that high-speed sweeper. Lots of steering. I want to clarifiy that this is just how it felt to me and my driving style. I really like the Zytech alot, but it is becoming harder to find and is a little more expensive than the P909. I plan to run both if possible in the upcoming season. Thanks Protoform for an excellent body.

Default Definitive Answer

Can someone give me the definitive answer. My recently purchased Protoform shell EFRA 35512. Is it EFRA legal? Turned up to a recent EFRA event to be told that it wasnt EFRA legal. Have checked the EFRA website and cant see it listed but on this thread there are quotes from correspondence from EFRA saying its legal and stuff.

I don't see it listed on the EFRA site, but it is under construction. The owner of PF has addressed this and said it is legal. Its legal. If you are having problems with EFRA, send your email to Gerhard Binder, who is the EFRA officer in charge of bodies and ask him yourself. Print out the email answer and take it with you to the races.

EFRA made a typo mistake when they issued Protoform their EFRA number. The body is legal.

As the Dutch NOMAC 1/8 chairmen I emailed Sander de Graaf to give more clarification but until now no reaction. With a week to go for the 1st national I am busy making all the lists of approved muflers and bodies and I will list this one on both numbers.

I still can't find it. I only see the March 6th list with 31512

Guys;

It's EFRA legal - trust me. Here's a copy'n'paste of the e-mail from Mr Binder. I hope he doesn't mind me posting this:

Dear Dale Epp,

sorry, my mistake!

Enclosed the new EFRA list 2009-2 from 21/03/09 with the number 35512 for your P909 body

Sorry for this problem.

Kind regards,
BINDER Gerhard

He included a copy of the updated March 21 chart with all the approved bodies including the PROTOform P909 #35512 - HOWEVER it's in a pdf type format and I'm not computer-smart enough to know how to put a link into this posting.

You may have to email it to him. Depending on size, it may get bounced back to you if the .pdf is too large, say larger than 5megs (usual limit set by ISPs).
