You don't want the cheapest way to race you want something in the middle not too cheap or not too costly to fit in your budget what's going to happen when you start up grading your going to spend more money. if your going to race and be competitive start with the right kit, engine & radio an go from there...

Yea that's better than getting a RTR Try too build it yourself so you can be familar with the kit....

Yeah I think I'll just get a kit now any one know of a good kit. I like serpent. I was going to race on-road before and bought this 1/10 scale serpent from a guy But it looked like a 1/8th scale with the fat tires in the back and the tinner in the front. I could not find a bodie to save my live for it so I sold it on ebay and lost intrest in off road racing but now I want to get into it.

As more than 1/2 the people have already posted, your best bet is to get what's supported in your area by your LHS. If you do go for the Ofna kit, Nitrohouse has always been the best place I've found for Ofna parts (I have a LD3 and CD3). But if you don't want to wait for the big brown truck, go with what you can get parts for quickly when you crash.
