Default serpent or mugen

i need to replace my ntc3 for next year and was thinking a serpent 720 or a mugen mtx4 but am open to suggestions. i race on parking lot tracks that are a bit more bumpy than permanant tracks and need something modern.id like to hear from folks that have run one or both of these cars

does your track support 1/8 gt? you might want to look into that if the track is only semi-smooth. for 1/10 sedan i'm running an nt1 that i'm really enjoying. good luck with your decision. all the premium cars are nice. get the one that you can get parts for easily. unfortunately i have to do all my shopping online.

When it comes down to it the 720 09 gives you the most for the price.

You can't go wrong with Mugen, Serpent, Kyosho or Xray. All are excellent. I'm a Mugen guy but you should probably go with the car that the more helpful racers at your track are running. If the guys running brand A are jerks that won't help you out with parts or set-up while the guys running brand B are really helpful then go with brand B.

Don't forget about the Xray NT1 or Kyosho V-One-RRR (lastest version). These cars are on par with the Mugen and Serpent. Between the four, you can't go wrong.

Speaking from experience, I've run Mugen, Kyosho, and Team Magic. I've also got a couple buddies that run Xray and from what I've seen Kyosho and Xray have the best parts support. The cars are pretty evenly matched if you really make an effort to learn what works for that particular kit so it really comes down to parts support.

If interested I have an NT1 that I only used twice on the track to break in an engine. The car has a few optional parts such as lite middle shaft, lite brake pulley, alloy hubs and front pink springs.

Don`t forget about the KYOSHO.
The car`s fast, and it`s also a tank.
