Default little too late

i was waiting for new nitro onroads by AE .. they have good cars .. the ntc3 isn't very competitive any more... and if you bump the wall you are guaranteed to break something

I reckon they they should make a 1/8th and a 1/10 nitro pro tourer. The NTC3 had a good following. The more cars to choose from the better Plus this might help to bring prices down as manufacturers battle to sell you their car

I'd like to see Associated get back into 2wd pan cars, nitro and electric.
Take these two kits from France.

These could be real fun and much less expensive.
It seems that whenever the economy gets bad we tend to try and revitalize simpler classes, to get back to the roots of R/C but when the economy recovers, everybody goes for the new ,high tech kick ass class because we can afford it better.
I'm very much interested in developing an 1/8 electric onroad class. Maybe 2wd would be the best way to get it going. From what I've learned by building my own car is that the 4wd cars are a bit heavy and there is not much room for 4 decent sized Lipo cells. It can be done but maybe 2wd is the way to build the class for now. Look at how well WGT is doing. make the car a little bigger and add another battery pack and...ZOOOOOOM!
It's a perfect in for Associated.

Development costs?

A 2 speed, lower shock towers, new body mounts for GT car bodies & a body for their existing RTR buggy chassis and they're in biz.

Talk about no-brainers, lol

I wouldn't be surprised if AE or Losi went into the GT class. With the popularity of 1/8 off-road and that Losi has a dirt oval 1/8 car it would be nice. But coming out with a actual 1/8 on-road, I don't think it'll happen. Between AE experience with nitro sedan and Losi looking into making a nitro sedan and decided it wasn't profitable, a sedan doesn't look good either. But, I keep looking at my Losi 8T and wonder what all would be needed......
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
Never argue with an idiot, they'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I'd have to agree with these statements. An 1/8 GT based on their buggy would make the most economic and marketing sense. I'd sure love to see another maker enter the 1/8 GT class.
