Default nitro rc car front wheels hard to turn by hand

Ive just my first nitro rc car the problem is that when i attempt to push the car to free wheel it drags and it sounds that car is in gear but when i roll the car backwards it is very smooth. When turning the front wheels quit tight when turning the wheels drive shafts are turning whith the wheels then nothing just the wheels turn. The car is a tr4 prodrive

If the car wont free roll with wheels on ground but does when in the air it's often a pulley mismatch front to rear.

The other is check your clutch, if it's bound then the one way will allow slip but engages in a forward direction and resists against the clutch.

Also remove the side belt and check whether its a rear or front issue.

Stuck in 2nd gear? or clutch sticking or service one-way..

There could be gum built up on the front pulley/s which could be causing the belt to become very tight and hard to turn over.
