LET IT GO GUYS!!!!!!!!!

Go Serpent.

On a side note. I finished building my 966 and I really like the fit of the new rear end. The brakes are really cool also. We will see how it goes. I am sure people will see plenty of it at the Winternats.

Later,

Where the pics dj?

Happy to report that a few of our drivers were present at Homestead RC Raceway to make the shakedown and test the S966.
Paolo Morganti and DJ Apolaro where there for support. All the car looked really good, incredible corner speed and handling. All the new S966 owners where really pleased and happy to make the switch from the other brands.

Talking Upgrade-set 960-08 to 966

The upgrade-set includes the main items to convert a Serpent 960-08 to the 966 version. The chassisplate, all rear-end alu and carbon parts together with the brake-system are the main elements. A full set of over 170 high quality steel allen screws for the whole car and a number of newly needed bearings are also included. The upgrade can be used with either OS1 or OS2 type rear suspension parts.

I also don't really understand this bashing...
Serpent try's to be innovative as much as possible in this small market. In a lot of things they were the first to try it, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.... but atleast they are not afraid to try.

Other brands are less innovative, but more conservative, and only refine designs which are already proven on the market....

SMP slide came with a lovely aluminium car, but maybe too soon for the market....
Motonica is clearly based on the Slide.
Shepherd's break system? => SMP Slide

So, now you will see, that IF the 966's rear end will be a succes, it WILL be copied.....
If not, people will come here with remarks like "I told you so....."

M7H,
I couldn't agree with you more.

Just look at the New Capricorn 1/10 scale....First Barking remarks ..".IT's A NT1" ... "I wish They Would have tried something Different". ( well it is different.) And So is the 966.

So I Have to Give Props to Serpent.. the 966 LQQKs real Nice.. And A Different Design which may sweep the market.

I was too tired to take photos yesterday. I just looked and REDRC has the complete photos on line. It looks better there since they do not have it built. I think those are better so I am not going to post any.

Thanks,

DJ Apolaro

WOW!! After looking at that azz end of the 966, that has changed my mind for leaving the brotherhood of the snake! If the new 1/8th car has rubbed off on it's little brother in any way, this is a major sign to others that the Snake is back! You have two future sales from me!
