Here we go again! MTX-3!! LOL...

Dude you'll never decide on anything if you ask your question here....again....check for availability of PARTS at your local hobby shop. Take a look at what folks drive at local races....last but most importantly...take a look at each car carefully and choose the one that pleases YOU the most.

all the current kits on the market have good and bad points..

buy the car that fits the use your going to use it for...

also, buy the car that yout LHS supports with parts and TECH advice....

If your gonna race the car at the local track, run what the other guys do,ESP.if this is your first car....

Did I ask this on here before? sorry if I did but I just want to make sure I buy something good.
I already have a r40 and I think is too heavy and the plastic is not so good so I want something better.
I appreciate all the feedback I can get.

umm.....

I don't know if you are going to get an advantage over the 705 just by buying say a mtx-3 or ntc3. I personally like the mtx-3 because it's very easy to setup. Basically the stock setup works well. If most of the folks you race at has 705 just join the crowd! Since you'll be able to get tech advises.

But if you look at the results of some of the big races....ntc3 and mtx-3 appears alot on top. However with that said...it's all the driver. You can beat the 705, mtx-3 with your r40 with all plastic or stock parts if you are a good driver. So don't know how to advice you there. Funny actually how you say you have a r40 but you want a better car - because the r40 won the 2003 roar championship...hehe...

I think you need to define what is your definition of advantage or good...like durability? quality? material? speed? handling? acceleration? bling factor??

You might want to post some questions in the mtx-3 thread or the 705 thread or v one rr thread to get a better sense of what are the pros and cons of each cars. If you check on some previous thread...there's a ton of similar thread asking which car is the best car. ...actually I think I may have one of those under my belt..hehe...

The r40 is no heavier than my impulse....it weighs 1760 grams, with no body....I agree that the plastic is a bit soft....but look how many people complain about the plastic in the tc3 being to hard, and always stripping(I have 2 of these also)...

And I'll tell you something else..the r40 stays tweak free after heavy racing against the boards....some thing my tc3 does not.

I'm not telling you you to stay with it....get what you'll be happy with...makes a big difference what your attititude towards your car is...

but like I said, every car has its good and bad points...The mugens break uni's..teh 705's need the right EXACT set up to run great, the tc3's are more fragile,etc.....the r40s have soft plastic, and a bit more slop...btw,both new kyoshos have a published weight that is higher then the r40..

I know about that result on the nats thats why I bought my r40 (havent used yet... still waiting for my engine)but even with out driving this thing I can say it is very heavy and that the plastic is not that good, I am waiting for my engine to come and test it but I want to be prepared in case it disapoints me. I know It may sound a little bit dumb to be looking for another car even when I have not tested the one I got but thats how my mind works also a third car would not be bad

Also anyone knows how a g4 handles?
Another reason Iasked this on here is because in RCU and RCZ they dont reply to my questions, I may be wrong but I think is because I am mexican, and in here I see a more diversified community, that be the way seems to be more experienced and open minded than the one on those

Well if that's the case...why not get a mtx-3 AND a 705... The mtx-3 does have soem plastic stuff on it. You almost want some plastic so that it'll absorb the impacts from teh boards. It sounds like you are more concerned with visual appeal or craftsmanship of the car. IN that case, mtx-3 and the v one rr look might nice... the quality of the parts are very good too. Fits perferctly.
