Questions?? Novarossi RS12TS3 settings

Hi Guys

I know this is an old motor, but heres hoping someone remembers the optimal needle settings to get this motor purring.

Pretty sure it wont make a difference but I'm running this motor in the Mugen MTX3.

Thanks
Adrian

bottem/low end 2 1/2 turns out
top/high end 5 1/4 turns out
Depending on what fuel you run, you might need to go in up to about 1/2 turn on the top. These are basic needle settings, just remember to keep it smoking!

Thanks man. Any idea on what I should have the mixture needle? How much gap should I have for the carb? I have about 0.5mm and she wont idle consistently.

Thanks
Adrian

if the idle is too low, it will stall, but if the idle is going up and down or running a "pattern", you have an air leak. If it will idle smooth but then stalls as soon as it gets warm, you might have a "pinch" issue or some dirt in/on the needles.

Thanks again for the info. What about the mid range needle setting on this motor, Ive heard keepin it flush with the carb is the best setting.
Thanks
