Faster car from your list will mainly depend on what engine and gearing.

Better car for racing from your list, I would go v1r(r), ntc3 in that order.

for racing your list should read

Mugen MTX3, Kyosho V1RR EVO, HPI R40, Associated NTC3

in no particular order.

for fun and racing, Kyosho V1S, Yokomo GT4 RTR, Associated NTC3 RTR. These cars may need to be hop up slightly to be competitive in racing, but nothing too major. The engines would have to be replaced in both the GT4 RTR and the NTC3 RTR, and the NTC3 RTR would do well with an addition of a 2 speed if you wanted to race, but other than that, not much more is absolutley nesscary to hop up.

Don't kid yourselves. For racing, the order should be Trinity G4, then the rest.

you mean the Team Magic G4? Trinity just distributes it, so why they put their name on it is beyond me.

As for it being on the top of the list? why? I'm sure its a decent car, but why on the top of the list?

Good car no doubt, but I too want to know why it is "top of the list".

If you don't want to buy any hopups to race, then go with the V-One R

It all depends on what you want to do with the car. If you are gunna start racing in pro class then go something like a RR evo or a MTX3 or a Team Magic G4.
But if you plan on starting in or pro stock i would go with the V-one S or maybe NTC3.
