Default Thoughts on using a 12V Battery Power pack

The Nitro season for me is gearing down and I'm starting to think about next year.

One thing the always bugs me is that fact that I still need connection to some AC outlet somewhere for charging TX , RX packs as well as starter box batteries and glow plug igniters.

I am think about purchasing one of the Portable Battery Booster type units (sealed battery dc outlet, etc.). This would allow me to pit anywhere around the track rather than all bunched up with the electric guys using the AC power.

What are other people's thoughts on this idea?

rodneybarrett;

I used to bring a 12 Auto Battery to the track which worked fine if I was charging at less than 5 amps. As I grew more competitive and my rates went up, the Battery wouldn't last for the day.

I've seen quite a few People using them already, so for just Nitro Car charging needs (@ 1A or less) you should be fine with a Booster.

I do all of my Nitro related charging the night before.

Yes, it would definately only be for Nitro racing.

And I wish I could always remember to charge before hand.

That's normally what I do! It works great, but like Pops said " 1 amp is good"
