Default Best Charger To Get

not sure if this is the right section to ask this, but here it goes:

anyonew know what charger to get that cab charge my 5cell 1100Mah receiver pack and the radio's 8 cell 2600mah batteries as well as my glow starter, a bonus would be something that can also charge gel 12v batterie for my starter box as well.

the charger must be able to run on 220V ac power as well, and preferably charge batteries simultaneously.

ive seen a couple on ebay from china, but not sure if its gona last or would be able to do what i want it to.

heres the item number for the charger ive seen on ebay:

Item number: 360116397647

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thanks guys

The Triton 2 is a good charger that can charge gel cells, lipo's (5 cells) and more. Priced around $129.00

As for power, you will need a power supply.

I agree that the Triton 2 is good, but the new Triton EQ is a better deal, it charges all sorts of batteries and it has a built in Lipo battery balancer for all brands of Lipo including Thunder power, and the best of all is it is AC/DC, no need for a separate power supply! the price is only US$129.99.

For normal use (without BP batteries) the Graupner Ultramat 14 is a way to go. It is small and light, it runs on 12/110/220 volt, will charche NiMh/NiCad up to 14 cells and LiPo up to 4 cells

Otherwise I advise a 12 volt charger with a small power supply.
BMI has a small 10A one:

As charger the current Robbe models with a BID cip works awesome. You can mount a BID chip (3 to 4 dollar) to the battery and when connecting it to the charger it will know which battery it is and adjust the charger to it. The chip is also used as a data logger to show the number of charges and compare the status of the battery with older charge data.

Yes the MRC 977 is okay but the Triton EQ is better, for $20.00 more you get a built in Lipo balancer charger. here is a link to it http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVRS6&P=ML yes I do have them in stock!

Damn, I just bought the Triton 2 this summer for my field charger and last week picked up a Team Checkpoint (Ice on steriods). I wish someone would have told me about the "New Triton!!"earlier. The Triton 2 will work fine for me.

I was in the same boat as you and chose the Venom Pro Charger (VEN0657). It charges pretty much anything and comes with all the adaptors needed to do so. Plus it's AC/DC.
When I 1st pulled it out of the box I wanted to try every adaptor it came with so I ended up charging my old igniter, my receiver pack, my buddy's receiver pack (different plug), my starter box batteries, my buddy's starter box lead acid battery, and the shop's Traxxas Slash. I didn't get to try charging a LiPo but the Venom charger does come with a balancing plug adaptor for 2-6 cells.
Originally I was eyeballing 2 different chargers. A cheap one, Duratrax Onyx 230. And a pricey one, Trinity I-Balance. Then I saw the Venom Pro Charger and was glad I made the purchase.
Other chargers around the same price can do the same but not many chargers come with the adaptors like the Venom does.
