Is there enough ground clearance on one of these that you can run it on the road?

I will be getting one of these for obvious reasons. I couldn't afford the older version when I was younger and always wanted one.

Is it March yet?

Kyosho has a pre-order price of $289.99 on the web site.

Default Got Mine

Well I have had my Kyosho Kart for around 2 weeks not just now had the time to get to it. Going to replace all the bushings with bearings, replace the fuel line and add a fuel filter. Going to try to find another rim/tire set to replace the stock ones.

Also going to replace the throttle and steering servos. Install my 4PK rx.. Do a few odds and ends to the chassis.. Going to try to convert the stock axle back over to the old style chain and sproket. I picked up a old axle, sprokets, and chain from a seller on Fleabay that should be arriving in a few weeks from Japan. I also plan to swap the stock motor with an OS or I might go brushless I havent decided yet but I will definetly break in the motor and try it out witht he Nitro set up..

I'd post pictures but it seems I havent reached my post count or something et BOO HOO

I would think the belt drive is better.

Appears Kyosho is testing the chain drive for the Birel Kart and is going to release it as an option part, since pebbles or small rocks interfere with the belt and cogs.

If this is for the second gen kart.. there were two different heads. One for the OS engine (us sales) and one for the Kyosho engine (overseas sales). Which one do you have?? GP sold both.

I ran these when they were out... only option I could never find was a plate in front of the kart.. even when they were out.. couldn't find it.
