No suspension in the common sense.
They use chassis flex... Note the different radio tray mounting positions through the middle of the chassis. (very slick)
The blog link has some videos and a sneak peek at the Vortex which has ground effects.

I still have an old Serpent pro diff laying around. I may build a car myself to try it out.

You can browse through RedRc and find many articles on the 2wd stuff.

Default interesting

This is a bit off topic but I came across this car from Team Magic while looking up the 2wd stuff.
Interesting that 1/10 scale foamies are still being produced.
Note the throttle linkage...
I think this car has front brakes!!!!
Not to mention how the shocks are arranged.

Ok I figured it out. It's the Vampire from the 90's
But interesting non the less.

I remember the 1/8th version of that car but never knew they made a 1/10th. Pretty cool looking.

That's the old Magic Vampire. The 1/8th car was the Shock, also sold here in the US by GS as the Sonic. I raced the Sonic for a while, and it was a good RTR/basher car, but not so good for racing. We (Jason Corl did most of the work) modded the crap out of that car, including all new front upper arms, shock mounting positions, and bulkhead brace, and actually got it to work really good compared to the other cars at that time; the only major drawback was the reliability. The 1/10th car was way overengineered. The 1/8th car had holes in the front bulkhead for the 4 wheel brakes, but we never saw those.

I should have known you that you had experience with the TM stuff since you were at GS. Not to mention your vast experience in 235mm.

Default More stuff

I looked a little deeper and thought that I'd post some more links and pictures.

http://www.ashobbyracing.it/motonica...a_18_2_wd.html
http://www.ashobbyracing.it/dxf.html
http://www.ashobbyracing.it/intrepid_rigida.html
http://cbracingshop.com/catalog/prod...roducts_id=174

The CBR Racing site is quite nice with more pictures and a video describing the Megatron brushless 1/8. It's in french but it's pretty much self explanatory.
All these cars appear to be available but considering the exchange rate right now, it may be an opportunity for an American manufacturer to get into the mix.
Hell, if I had the money I'd give it a go. I most likely will knock off the DXF to some extent for myself. AE are you listening?
