I don't think, no, I am sure this one will not work at all. It will come out soon, it just Hi temp RTV silicon. They use polimer, can be found in Mc Master catalog.

are you sure it doesn't work, have you tried it ? and isn't silicone one type of polymer ?

bet you one bottle of smirnoff that this stuff will stay on.

I don't have pic for that material, but I think they use Derline.
Here is web site for Mc Master Catalog on line so you can see there: http://www.mcmaster.com/, just in search type Derlin it will bring you to right page.

I have never try and honestly will not try it. I don't want to have any slilicon rubber in my engine.
Did you try it?
I better loose one bottle of "Smirnoff" then ruin my engine. Smirnoff-$15, engine-$300

I don't know nor care who will win. But, whoever does, please kindly share the Smirnoff with me.

...just make sure it's really free of oil and fat and dry before you put it in and then let it dry for 24 hours.

I ran one engine the whole season with the stuff and it didn't come out.

I agree with Stefan. As long as the crank is super clean and roughed up so there is some "tooth", many things can work. I have used JB Weld successfully.

If I recall, Motorman said he could find little or no benefit with this red silicon in the crank.

Pass the Smirnoff, please.
