Your card look good out there BigBank. I was fight traction roll problems throughout the day. I wasn't able to take advantage of the on power steering I had. Time to get back to the lab.

It depends on your motor and the way you feel or want the power.

Doing 300K front, 60K rear here. Working good for my track (lots of U turn).

Default List of MTX4R parts that fit on MTX5

Hi all,

Is there a list of MTX4R parts that are the same in the MTX5?

I guess a few of us still has new MTX4R parts left...

Thanks in advance.

maybe the belts...after that i think everything is different. even the wheel hexes are a smaller internal diameter i think.

to the people having diff issues, use the longer xray diff screws as this might keep your diff tighter. I can't say i've had any issues with the car. all good so far. Clutch is dead simple to set up, gears are very strong. if you are busting gears increase the gap on your two speed shoe a little bit and make sure your clutch is set up right. An mtx5 driver was busting gears at an event i entered recently and the issues came from their clutch shoe setup

i busted one gear and i was told to increase the two speed shoe gap, after this i had no issues. I was told that what may have occured is my 2 speed stayed engaged when it shifted down and caused the stripping. Happy with the car, but not my driving

Belts, shock housings and rear shafts, general link balls etc, also either front or rear shafts from the old car, can't remember which, but that is it.

Clutch would be a whole heap easier to set if the "Thrust bearing stopper" came drilled dead center, mine is not, friends kits is also not, first replacement I got took one look at it still in the pack and it's also not, but some people have said theirs were fine, poor quality issue from a company like Mugen.

Tom what happened to Phil in the final?, been next to no info coming out of the nats so far that I have seen.

It was the grub-screw. Phil confirmed it at the presentation speech, with a cheeky comment about it being a Capricorn grub-screw (he was probably using Mugen thread-lock though). There was plenty of cheek between the Goat (Greatest Of All tings), Mugen and Shepherd teams in the speeches at the presentation. Great to see so much friendly rivalry between the teams; everyone had a laugh, and Capricorn, Shepherd half of the Mugen teams pushed their tables together so we could sit together at the dinner.

But again; the Capricorn team set the record straight of which is the best car to all you misguided Mugen supporters. Two wins in the two scales we were in, and four out of six podiums. Mugen had a 3rd in 1/8th scale and Shepherd a 2nd in 1/10th scale, in case you don't know.

Kindest regards,
Lars.
