Sorry to here about this. Got to race with him on a few occasions when I was first starting out in 1/8th scale. He and his wife were great people. Just curious , was he still racing in his 90's??

I met Elmer back in the late 80's in Albuquerque during one of the NMRCRCC races. If I am not mistaken, Elmer used to drive a DELTA pan car. The last time I saw him was in '91 or '92 and I think he was still racing the pan car class. Let me tell you, he was very good with that car. In an era when 4WD was state of the art, Elmer was still running and winning races in the Pan car division. Goodbye Elmer, thanks for your contribution to the hobby.

My condolences to Elmer's family. It is always sad to hear of a fellow rc racer passing. I met Elmer a few times when he would race at the Winter Nat's in Ft. Myers. Always a gentleman and a pleasure to talk to. Rest in peace my friend.
