With the kyosho certain motors had to use a spacer/shim between the collet & bearing. Other drivers would shave off the top of the collet since the diameter of it was to long & it was hitting against the flywheel nut preventing it from getting a tight fit. Majority of the time I used the Kyosho collet that came with a spacer. I will try to locate an item# & post it later on

George,

Thanks for all your input on the Capricorn products, you've been a big help. I'll go back and look at my power clutch and try that .5 to .8 setting. I'll be racing the CL12-ET with the power clutch for the 1st time this Saturday.

Have yourself a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Regards,
Daniel

Default CLUTCH SHOES

George and Tommy,

Hope you and your families had a good and safe Christmas.

I know you guys have been testing the new Capricorn clutch and I ran mine this past weekend and it was great. Unfortunately I wasn't able to runn it on my new CL12-ET. I had put 6 tanks through it on break-in and didn't want to rush the break-in so I ran one of my Sirio Evo 4 STI motors. Ran with the yellow shoe and finished 2nd in the A-Main in our local club race. We had a few guys from Austin, Texas come down and join us, it was a lot of fun. Wanted to know if you had suggestions on when to use the different shoe types? BTW George the .50 to .80 spring nut setting was spot on. I set mine to .65 and it worked great. I have the blue, red and yellow shoes and wondered what your suggestions are for using each shoe? High grip track, low grip track, etc...

I was able to get 4 more tanks into the CL12-ET before I left the track on Saturday. It's definately going to be a fast motor. I'll keep you posted.

Feliza Ano Nuevo!!!!
Have a Happy New Year!!!
Regards,

Daniel

Uriah,

Thanks so much for the shoes you sent to replace the ones missing from the Capricorn power clutch I ordered. I'm really looking forward to 09 and racing my RRR Evo 2 with all these Capricorn parts. I'll be placing another order soon on more hop-ups.

Have a Happy New Year!!!

Regards,
Daniel

The Yellow shoe is the most consistent @ any track
I've been using the red on the my CL-9ET a little more slip in the start & wears out faster than the Yellow
The Blue is IMO between yellow & red

If it is a 2630 watch out that pipe likes to munch away on fuel
