Default Full throttle running

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm still trying to learn nitro cars. As a follow-up to a previous post. I can be running at half throttle just fine, but when I mive to full throttle the engine dies. I've changed out the glow plug and same thing. My thought is that it would have to deal with the amount of fuel getting to the chamber, whether it be too much or too little. In which case I should be toying with the high speed needle. What's wrong with my train of thought.

If it's the clutch setting, how come it runs at medium throttle fine, but when I lay it to it the engine dies.

Thanks again, Duc

Too rich then the engine will be blubbering with plenty of smoke and raw fuel coming out of the exhaust and slow when accelerating out of corners.
Too lean then the engine will have very little or no smoke from the exhaust when accelerating out of the corners and runs really hot/overheat.

That makes sense. So do you think my problem sounds like it's in the high speed needle setting?

Yes definitely, how does it react when you go full throttle when the car is not touching the ground? does it accelerate quickly with a very high pitch sound? or does it kind of sputter through out?

9/10 when I go full throttle off the ground it has a high piitch o/w seems to run just fine. It will slowly rev with a high pitch from 1/2 throttle to 3/4 throttle and then just die out if I go beyond 3/4 throttle.

Thanks for the help, Duc

As Wizby recommended, if in doubt richen the top, I would richen (counter clockwise) it for 1/4 of a turn and see if it improves, if it does then you know it is too lean, also make sure your pressure line is in good condition, if in doubt replace it with a new pressure line, I have experience that when it gets old it does collapse and restricts pressure going into the tank thus giving acceleration problems.

Check your fuel tubing, pipe seals and gas tank. For what I gather you probably are not creating presure in the tank.

Depending on the car. Some people tighten the screw or nuts too tight and crack the seam of the tank.

Hope this helps
